Biography*: When she was born, Ami's Irish mother and Japanese father had been visiting her mother's hometown for the week. They soon came back to Bunkyo where Ami grew up. When Ami was 10, her mother gave birth to Ami's little sister Kat. To their dismay, Akira died giving birth. From then on, their Aunt Mako helped raise them. When Ami came of age, she started going to Ouran Private Academy. The Kanas happened to know the Suoh family whose son Tamaki went to the academy as well, so Tamaki gave her a tour of the academy when she arrived. She didn't really enjoy spending her time with most females at the academy, due to the fact they freaked over boys ad were terrified of bugs. The Host Club took notice to this and decided to let her join. She quickly became very good friends with everyone in the club.
